A rare and very robust large-scale antique urn with a wide neck giving the opportunity to insert a plant pot or a large display of stems.

A stunning antique Turkish urn. Originally used for storing olive oil, these urns are now the perfect antique home or garden accessory.

Most commonly seen adorning the steps and patios of Mediterranean homes. They look beautiful and very sculptural completely empty inside the home but can also be used outdoors planted with olive trees or trailing plants.

Full of character, these uniquely original pots would sit perfectly on the floor filled with your favourite stems and branches - or left completely empty for maximum impact.

Over a hundred years old, the surface of pots such as this one can be textured, pitted and flaky with loose paintwork. Traces of white residue sometimes remain where they have been previously painted. Originally used to store liquids, traces of olive oil are often evident inside the pots.

Please expect a vintage imperfect condition. Each pot is handmade and features fabulous rustic earthy tones. Delightfully imperfect, these pots are soft, smooth and tactile to the touch. These distinctive ancient pots have imperfections aplenty, so please embrace their individuality and beauty and expect historic chips, cracks and repairs.

Please note that we recommend protecting from frost during the winter months if used in the garden.

Courier Delivery

Delivery will take place via door-to-door courier as this item is too large and heavy, long or fragile to be delivered in a parcel by any of the UK parcel providers.

This service is undertaken by a one-man delivery service.

Please be prepared to help to move the item from the van or lorry to just inside your door.

When delivery takes place, it will be to just inside the threshold of your home only. This item is approximately very heavy (50 kilograms), and you will need to supply a very capable and very strong helper at the time of delivery.

The courier will not be able to carry the delivery up or down steps to access your property.

You will therefore need to supply a strong helper to assist on the day of delivery.

After the courier has left, you will need to remove the item from its packaging when present and carry it from your doorway into your home.

Delivery is added at the checkout - you will be able to view this charge before you pay.

For local deliveries, depending on location, there may be the option of a two-man delivery with an assembly service. We will endeavour to find you the best option available. Please contact us with your full address including your postcode for a quotation.
