Antique African Clay Urn | Medium - A fine example of pottery from the Nupe Tribe of Nigeria
Extensively hand decorated with a geometric hand-carved scratch pattern this beautiful urn is beautifully round.
This earthenware-fired clay pot would originally have been used for storing and carrying water and (sometimes dried goods) on the head.
Please expect historic imperfections as this item was used in daily life for 100 years. There will be signs of historic use, little dings, and dents.
These beautiful pots are all one of king assisting with adding a sense of history to your uniquely stylish home.

Shipping Charges
As this item is too large/fragile to be delivered by parcel it will be delivered by either pallet or by one-man courier. Shipping is added at the checkout.
You must be prepared to help with unloading this piece of furniture with a very strong helper. Delivery is to your ground floor threshold only
When pallet delivery is applicable the item will be delivered to the kerbside and you will need to unpack and move the item from there. You will need to dispose of the pallet. Please see our terms and conditions at the bottom of our home page to understand what is involved in pallet delivery.
When the delivery takes place by courier the delivery will be to the ground floor and just inside your front door. If there are more than a couple of steps/stairs from your parking space to your front door please let us know in advance as the delivery service does not encompass carrying items up any stairs.

Parcel Delivery
We use Parcelforce to deliver our smaller items.
Courier Delivery – Furniture | bulky items | fragile items | heavy items
Delivery will take place via door-to-door courier an item is too large and heavy, long or fragile to be delivered in a parcel by any of the UK parcel providers.
This service is undertaken by a one-man delivery service.
Please be prepared to help to move the item from the van or lorry to just inside your door. When delivery takes place, it will be to just inside the threshold of your home only.
The courier will not be able to carry the furniture up or down steps to access your property.
You will need to supply a strong helper to assist on the day of delivery.
After the courier has left, you will need to remove the item from its packaging when present and carry it from your doorway into your home or garden.
Some items such as our dining tables flat packed for self-assembly. Many items of furniture require an element of self-assembly.
Delivery is added at the checkout - you will be able to view this charge before you pay.
Website orders for Scotland, Ireland, and
offshore Islands
Special quotation for deliveries is required for the following areas: Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands, and Islands as well as all other offshore UK islands.

We will need your full delivery address and postcode, and a full and complete summary of your shopping basket to enable us to provide you with a quotation.
International delivery
We are sorry we do not offer international delivery however we are happy to work with the shippers of our international clients.
Collection of your order from Home Barn.
All our stock is listed online and available for nationwide delivery.
We welcome collection of your orders from our shop in Marlow Buckinghamshire, however, please note that we do not allow customer or their couriers to collect bulky items, heavy items or furniture items from Home Barn.
Not all of our beautiful stock is available in store, so please contact us before travelling to collect an item.
Collection of orders must be undertaken during standard opening hours.
Items must be collected within 10 days of ordering.
